Week three - Weekly Evaluation

How well did you respond to the first project brief?

I think I did well on the day I was in this week, using the available materials effectively to create and build structures and shapes to respond to the brief. I worked well in a group with Robyn and Danny and although we all had differing ideas at times of what we collaboratively creating, we always came together

How well did you use your time this week?

I was only in on one day, as I was ill all of this week unfortunately, however I did use the time I had available to me at home to do some secondary artists online research for the design project and

What appropriate contextual references did you find?

I think if I had more time in classes this week, as much as I'd love to say I would have used a wide variety, like most people

Which new materials or practical approaches did you try/test?

Model making in general was a new particle for me, as I have mainly stuck to practices such as painting and collating.

Did you maintain on-going annotations that might be useful in future reviews?

Yes, I had various notes and annotations I keep in my black notebook which I know will become handy when I write uo my final project evaluation. I think this is really important as although the time and idea or concept may seem so important that I couldn't possibly think about forgetting it, my brain struggles to retain important information and ideas I have at a time.

How did others respond to your work and ideas during the week? What can you learn from this discussion or feedback?

On the one day I was in, we were mainly doing group work which was really beneficial for me as I work really well bouncing off the ideas of other people. I didn't really have many opportunities for feedback during the day as it was mainly a continuos process where we wrote down out own individual notes, and sketches to use in personal evaluations. I think therefore I can learn that I need to do ongoing peer feedback, and expand past using the teachers to help our feedback sessions.

What do you need to do, find out about, or experiment with next week?

Experiment with ideas, mind map a lot of different ideas to ensure I have enough to work with. I think a lot of secondary research would be beneficial to see how my ideas are similar to things in the real world, and allow that to push my ideas in a direction that means it could work in real life.
