By using unrelated visuals with the audio piece titled 'internal conversations', I was able to gain a feeling as to whether the audio piece works better with visuals or on on its own as an audio piece. I think the two work together effectively, as the phone conversation acts as a narrative for the visual playing out on the screen, however originally I wanted to keep the two unrelated so I need to figure out a way to disconnect the two from each other while still having them both act as an art piece simultaneously. However, when I place the audio with the designated visual I need to remember that if the two don't work together it is ok to have them separate as different outcomes, as it can all contribute to my portfolio as supporting work.

I think that while this piece is successful on its own, I am not convinced that the two pieces work together to convey the idea of my own headspace, as the voices being played over the visuals taken from my everyday are not necessarily representative of all the different thoughts that flash through my head. this leads me to turn to voicemails as an audio, as I think for example, the idea of an accidental voicemail represents the thoughts in my head influenced by what other people say to me, and their words/noise that people don't mean to leave can have an impact on my day. Almost like the audio represents the thoughts flashing around inside my head while I am living everyday (represented by the visuals). The VHS quality of the app I have used to record the video here is effective aesthetically, as it shows a fuzzy and weak quality which is becoming more and more popular today. However it's not just an aesthetic choice, I think I chose this style of video as not only does it posses a nostalgic quality, it loosely represents the fuzziness I feel sometimes feel when I have a lot going on in my head, portrayed by a first hand camera angle, as if the viewer is seeing the simple everyday events through my eyes.
