Presentation - Power Point to Fine Art class

The feedback I received from my peers was incredibly positive. The only feedback I received was in the form of praise or suggestion for further progression, or different pathways I could have taken with my project. A lot of people really liked an example of one of the sound test pieces I created early on in the project called "chopin + synth + uncle" (https://soundcloud.com/user-299752011/chopin-synth-uncle-paul), and suggested that the sound pieces alone without the visuals were enough as a piece of art. I think before I didn't appreciate their value as the combination of all three components (piano accompaniment, voice of my uncle and a synthesiser) as they are very familiar to me as material, due to the fact I have worked with music and voice in past.

They were also impressed with my own music composition that I used to accompany the final video, which meant in the end I understand that the choice of using my own piano composition instead of the Chopin track was an effective one. I take from this to apply value to my own musical work, as in the past I have been skeptical whether I should share this aspect of my artwork (music side) as I have always been very reserved in the music I create. I think from this I have learnt that i would like to compose more piano pieces, perhaps with the same 'movie/soundtrack' feel in mind.
