After finding a small standing mirror in the studio space during, I decided to modify the reflective properties of the mirror by adding my own square mirror tiles to the surface. They are small mirror tile stickers that I previously had been using individually on test pieces to see how they challenged the way people look at faces, as the reflection someone is greeted with when they look at the space where the head would have been in a photo forces them to think about the similarities that they can draw between themselves and strangers (test pieces can be found in A4 sketchbook).

By using masking tape to secure the mirror the mirror tiles onto the larger mirror, I created a slight distortion due to how the tape raised the sheet of tiles on the left and right side where it was stuck on. This meant that I was able to use the mirror as a device for distorting photos. I decided to is a black and white filter as it worked really well as an aesthetic choice with te distorted faces.
