IDEAS FOR WORK

• Smaller puzzles?

• incorporate sewing? sew the pieces together.. machine/hand stitch in a piece that does/doesn't fit, jammed into a space so it looks like it should but is obvious it is out of place

• what subjects can I use (photo wise) instead of faces?

• Use other silhouettes

• Inspiration gathered from hanging easter tree in Fordingrbridge town with knitted easter related items suspended from a tree

• Suspend puzzle pieces? don't all have to be together...

• Bricks? Foundation of someone's identity

• MIRROR TILES as puzzle pieces, reflecting how no matter how the pieces fit together you will always see yourself/be seen the same, and that the physical act of making the puzzle reflects a lot of peoples struggle of trying to put themselves back together after a hard time (e.g. alcohol addiciton, loss of life, break up etc.) Mirror reflection will force people to look at themselves for a decent amount of time.

• Magnetic whiteboard with magnetic mirror tile magnets? (thinking about practicality)

SMALL NEXT STEPS

• Select images for sewing into, use of silhouettes and the full figure (test pieces)

• review survey and do photography edits based on the insecurities question ("not everyone is made of stone")

• sketches in sketchbook about larger scale ideas with annotations (thinking about end user context)
